I have no idea of the best way to keep track of this list other than to post it here, hope the Seffricans will find it and that you will add to it as you notice people missing.
So far....
There are Steemians in this group who've confessed to being from Pretoria, Port Edward, Durban, Johannesburg...even Cape Town, which is weird, because they should be outside enjoying the snow. As a loyal Joburger, I refuse to post a gaspaciously beautiful photo of Cape Town (today, anyway) - I leave that to the denizens of the Slaapstadt.
But where's Waldo?
Cities and such
Where's PE (the big one, not Klein PE)? Saldanha Bay and St Lucia, are your lives so imbued with natural beauty that you have to spend your entire day outdoors enjoying the ridiculously great weather, breathtaking attractions and heart-thumping activities that you can't share a post with the rest of us once in a while? I'm just picking on you randomly. To be fair, let me go to the arty extreme, to the Karoo - Nieu-Bethesda, where are your posts on owls and life in the Mendocino of the Camdeboo?
And provinces?
All of Limpopo? The entire Free State? Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, Northwest...where are you? Let's face it, we even have a South African Steemian currently stationed on Marion Island (look it up), posting valiantly against all the efforts of the interwebs to stifle his comms, so where are the provinces?
South African Steemian meetups
As far as I know, and I hope you can update this with good news, we've had meetups in Johannesburg and Cape Town to date. Maybe there have been others - let's hear about them.

Sure! Why not? If you want to join, what does it matter where you're living now? We have our fair share of furriners living in RSA on this list. For what it's worth, I'm one of them - a Canadian who's been living in SA for 20 years. It would be a bit weird if I arbitrarily said you can't join while I'm here, wouldn't it? Have put you on the Excel list and will post the update shortly.
@kiligirl my information came from @stephenkendal, I am sure you can connect with him as he got that information very fast, I replied to a post of his and a couple of minutes later I had the list I am sure he will be able to get you the whole of SA's list .

Hi from a very cold Cathcart. Been lurking on here since May and finally decided to take the plunge and be more active. Good to see so many Saffas on here

By the way, where is Cathcart and what's it like besides cold? I could Google it, but finding out from you will be much more fun :-)
Thanks @kiligirl! Cathcart is a VERY small town in the Eastern Cape about 130km inland from East London. It's a small farming town and it's what you'd expect from a small farming town... Quiet with not much to do in winter when it's too cold to be outside.
Will be interesting to learn more about life in Cathcart. I have a Vaalie tourist-eye view of the EC (have often spent time in Kenton), but also have worked with political types in the area, have friends who farm there and others who are developing energy projects in the province. Small town, maybe, but farming is so essential to our lives it will be good to learn more from the ground, as it were :-)
