BROWN NOISE

is electronic current click and hum distortion amplified until the decibels reach audibly uncomfortable measure.
the first world war was a testing ground for the destructive effect of brown noise. The name of the sound form refers to the evacuations which this sound caused on its trial participants when it was made to resonate at the inaudible frequency of seven cycles per second but well above comfortable hearing in decibels.
