Soulful-Ease Prompts Unveiled - Episode #3

in #soulfulease2 years ago

Hey there! Welcome to "Soulful-Ease Prompts Unveiled", a series where I share the AI prompts used in the creation of Soulful-Ease content (my other blog). In this episode, we'll be focusing on Breaking Free from the Crab Mentality: A Journey Towards Personal Fulfillment and Mental Health and the ChatGPT and MidJourney prompts that contributed to its development. My goal is to provide transparency and give you a glimpse into the creative process. So, let's dive in!

ChatGPT Prompts:

1.)

I have a rather large task to ask of you. I'd like you to take my bulleted points (in curly brackets, below), that attempt to describe the paradigm by which the average person operates (and is driven by) and the paradigm by which the author argues is MUCH more preferable, and leads to much greater "fruits" (both for the individual who sets his goals and actions from that perspective, and for the people around him). The context is that the author is a "practitioner" of the theory of having his clients either listen to questions that the author deems "probing" enough to have a chance of awakening his client's insight into the reality of the more beneficial paradigm (and then arrive at a point where they see the world through those eyes, from that perspective - the theory being that they will then be driven by their true passions and be more likely to provide to the world through their own innate strengths and "gifts" and will very likely also feel more fulfilled, since they are no longer chasing "superficial" goals and possessions), or have his clients try to "arrive" at the right questions (that are probing enough) to ask themselves, with the same theory in play.

This author also has theories about the right state of mind to be in when listening to such questions being recited to oneself or asking the questions of oneself. Furthermore, he has a theory about the right state of mind to be in in order to "receive" the answer(s), whatever form those answers appear to be revealed to oneself (a vision, insight, feeling, intuition, etc.).

He implies that there is a special, undeniably profound quality in the type of insights that happen by probing oneself with these types of questions and in the type of way that he suggests one should go about asking oneself - that it has a way of achieving the same type of spontaneous and profound transformations and healing that you typically only hear about with deep spiritual practices (and implies this is because the approaches are similiar - deeply questioning one's paradigm, prodding to "depths" that may reach lower than even the lowest roots of one's paradigm/ belief system, which may allow for it to be "shook up" to the point of "turning it on its head" or activating the "spontaneous transformation").

Please do your best to state what the author is intending to convey to his listeners through the following piece of writing that's still a bit disjointed and incomplete. Try to state it as eloquently and articulately as you can manage, without leaving out any of the message or details that he was attempting to articulate. Present it in a professional manner that is in paragraph format and flows logically from point to point.

Also, and this is KEY, make sure to prioritize providing me with a quality piece of writing that is comprehensive in filling out the details that make the author's perspective clear to the reader, that is as unambiguous as possible, and will leave the reader with no questions about how the author conceptualizes this theory (both on the literal and metaphorical levels, which may both be necessary to get the reader to understand the power and importance of the type of questioning and transformation that the author is speaking about, and pointing to).

So, feel free to have your response take up many "text boxes" (I'll inform you to "continue where you left off" if you can't fit your reply into one text box), if you must do this in order to make this piece as comprehensive and articulate as you need to make it check off all the right boxes (that I mentioned above).

Below (in curly brackets) are the ideas of the author, regarding his theory that I described above, as he left them, a bit disjointed and not in proper essay (paragraph) form. Please convert it into a professional level essay, hitting on all the goals that I provided you above:

2.)

That's a good start, and a good foundation to build out the complete text as I'm envisioning it.

Now, I'd like you to find a way to keep what you've just said (maybe only slightly altering how you state it), while adding back in my example of the person walking on the dangerous and anxiety-inducing trail (the old paradigm) and coming across the new, clearly more desirable trail (insight into the better prospects of the new paradigm, that the author is suggesting that they should aim for).

Keep to the same symbolism and metaphor, but change the wording to be more eloquent and articulate, while making sure that it flows and fits logically with what was said before this example is introduced, and the same for the words that follow it.

Also, write it as I wrote it. Don't say "the author", say "I".

Again, I stress that you prioritize making a quality and COMPLETE piece, that comprehensively covers the concepts that I (the author) was trying to convey in that bulleted text (and that hits on all the ideas that I stated for context in my last comment to you, above).

I would PREFER that your response covers more that one "text box", and I assure you that I will have you complete your response by instructing you to "continue where you left off", if you can't complete your response in one text box.

MidJourney Prompts:

A person stands at a fork in a trail, with one path representing the old paradigm of superficial success, and the other symbolizing a new focus on mental health, personal fulfillment, and positive contributions. The hazardous path is lined with crumbled rocks and precarious edges, while the alternate path is lush, verdant, and inviting. Rays of sunlight peek through the canopy of trees above the safer path, casting a warm and inviting glow. The person contemplates their decision, holding a list of introspective questions in their hand, as they gaze up at the peaceful, serene alternate path. In the distance, the alternate path leads to a beautiful, tranquil garden, symbolizing the "garden of Eden." --ar 16:9 --v 5 --q 2

Comments/ Insights

First, I would like to mention that I have decided to focus on the most valuable and insightful aspects of my prompts to GPT, as they yield higher quality and more usable outputs. I chose this approach because, after only two of these Soulful-Ease "prompt audit" posts, I have realized that the sheer length of the posts becomes difficult to digest when every minute detail of each prompt is included. Even by concentrating on the insightful parts of the prompts, the length is already more than most can stomach, let alone when every detail is included. Thus, this new direction was, frankly, chosen for me.

That out of the way, the initial, rather extensive prompt to ChatGPT-4 serves two primary objectives:

1.) It reinforces the CONTEXT of the author's piece (the bulleted points containing my "disjointed ideas"), ensuring that GPT accurately comprehends what I'm asking and primes it to respond in a manner that aligns with my perspective on the topic. In essence, I'm trying to get GPT to express my opinion using its better articulation skills.

2.) At one point in the prompt, I include specific details, such as reinforcing metaphors or analogies that were already present in the text I wanted GPT to revise. By doing so, I communicate to GPT that I wish to retain the analogy or, at the very least, have it suggest relevant alternatives, allowing me to select the most suitable options that closely align with my original intent.

The second prompt to GPT serves as my constructive criticism regarding its response to the initial prompt. I had to correct the reference to myself as "the author" and instead have GPT speak from my perspective (using "I"). Furthermore, I requested GPT to reintegrate the analogy that I had worked hard to include in the original text, essentially asking it to describe the analogy more eloquently, if possible.

The final part of the prompt is a technique I often employ in my prompts to GPT, which appears to influence the length of its responses. This approach aims to encourage GPT to prioritize delivering a comprehensive, complete piece of work rather than a brief response constrained by the character limit of a single GPT output.
