Steemit has a great community vibe, something Instagram lacks, even more so once you start getting on here more.
I too got bitcoin fever once the storm came through ;)
If you haven't already, check out @teamaustralia and posts by @choogirl
And for photography, there are a lot of competitions and sharing blogs but the best around is @photofeed in my opinion.
