Sonic Forces has been hated a lot. When it was announced i hab high expectations on the game because the trailer looked really good. But then i bought it for switch and finished it in 6 hours. And thats the main issue. The game and especially the levels are way to short. The Story was nice and i really enjoyed it, but i wanted to play more afterwards and more dificult levels. What i didn´t like to were the 2D classic Sonic stages. They just don´t fit in the game and are kind of boring. I think Sonic Mania did a way better job with 2D Stages. The 3D parts were good and fun but have some problems with the gameplay. You often just can´t react to enemys or other things in your way and just die randomly. I would have wished a bit slower gameplay which gives the player more control over the character. The soundtrack is great like in any other Sonic game. I think Sonic Forces isn´t a bad game. Playing through and equipping your custom character with new clothes to. But it isn´t the best Sonic game either and defenetly not the longest. So you should decide on your own if this short entertainment is worth your 40$.
