Solstice Detox

in #solstice3 years ago

Today, on this the winter Solstice, I was expected to be part of a ceremony, where a wonderful freedom Fighter named Henna Maria was meant to attend. But after finally finishing the Olives on Saturday ( I now have 45 liters of divine organic oil) and attending a market where I had a stall on Sunday, I woke up yesterday morning with a high fever and very achy. Every muscle in my body ached, I knew I would not be able to attend this special event.

I really should have guessed something was up on Sunday, when I paid someone to take one of the items I was selling. Yes you read that right. A women wanted to buy something from me, but I didn’t have any change, so off I went to a friend who I knew was more organized than me and came with change. She changed a 20 for me and as I walked back to my stall the woman stood there with her hand out, which made me second guess myself and assume I had in fact changed her money and not mine.

So I gave her the item, which was a dress and 17 euros and off she when. It was only later that I realized what I had done and by that time she was gone. I felt so stupid, I have never ever done anything like that before. But when I woke up yesterday morning, I understood why.

Yesterday was a complete wipe out for me, I spend the whole day in bed, twisting and turning. Last night was much the same. Fortunately today I have improved a bit. I am still quite feverish, but the achy-ness is more or less gone. I can actually find a comfortable spot to rest in.

So I have been gifted with a Solstice Detox, as my body has a huge flush out! I am taking vitamin C and vitamin D, my eldest blended up two freshly picked lemons, skin, pips and all with some water which is always a go to for me if I feel a flu or cold coming on. Later I also plan on having a magnesium foot bath to help flush out my body even more.

As it turned out Henna Maria, is also sick so she had to cancel, she helped to create the ‘Policia Por La Libertad ’ here in Spain and was coming to discuss with us how we could reach out an olive branch to the police and try and open up conversations about the tyranny that is happening right now. After that we would come together and celebrate this important day, the return of the light, by lighting up heart lanterns some of us had made.

But instead, I spend this Solstice in bed. I seem to have spend a lot of time this last year feeling poorly, but then again it has been a full on year. Me and my girls don’t celebrate Christmas, although the older they become the more attractive it appears to them. But we still choose to exchange gifts, only we do it on Solstice, we usually always make bird feeders, because it is important to give something back.

Hopefully I’ll be back on my feet soon, cos I still haven’t moved yet, (this has to be the longest move ever. ) and I have to be moved by next weekend. Wishing you all a Magical Solstice xxx
