Why do we treat police in public space the way we do? Are they not allowed to have a sense of humor? Is a prank against the law?
Not saying it shouldn't when i see what crap they call pranks these days on youtube, but no matter the quality of a prank, police should be able to distinguish a bad joke from a crime.
The problem is, that the police is not properly trained.
Police officers are incentivised to put crimes on you.
It is like law enforcement and the public are playing against each other. Instead of both being on the same team fighting against all things damaging to society.
Officers have to relax and shrug minor incidents off. We are over educational methods like spanking punishments. And it is not the job of the police to educate. The job is to fight real crimes. To help society find a better balance.
The public has to stop assuming every officer wants to fabricate a crime it commited. Because there are a lot of reasonable ones.
Then the reaction will be greater respect on both sides and most importantly less fear.
Be careful watching the Remi Gaillard video below, as you might get stuck watching all of his stunts. What i want to show is, that if he would pull that on a random it would get him a weird look and a chuckle, but why is it different with officers of the law?
