Pedro and Willian scored as Chelsea beat Newcastle to stay in the top four of the Premier League.
The game starts with both sides switching possession, things being end to end. Neither side has been able to create a good chance yet though.
Chelsea soon open the game 9 minutes after kick off with a wonderful goal from Pedro. David Luiz sending a very nice pass over the defence to find Pedro. Pedro with a nice first touch plays it over the keeper and into the net.
Chelsea are playing on the front foot and Newcastle aren't breaking forward quickly enough when they get the ball.
Newcastle start improving their game gradually and level things before the break. Newcastle win a corner and Ritchie takes it, with Ciaran Clark meeting it and sending a powerful header into the bottom corner.
They start the second half level and Pedro almost puts his side ahead again just 2 minutes in. Willian giving him a nice pass but Pedro's low shot was spectacularly denied by the keeper.
The game is more open in the second half and Chelsea finally get their second goal in the 57th minute. Willian cutting past Yedlin and into the box, then finishing with a spectacular curled shot off the far post.
With Chelsea's dominance for most of the remaining of the game, Newcastle fail to find a way back into the game. Chelsea closing the game with a 2-1 victory.
The victory puts Chelsea 5 points clear of fifth placed Arsenal, giving them a good position in the top four. Chelsea also now sit just a point below third placed Tottenham Hotspur.
With Newcastle defeated, they still remain in the relegation zone.
