Thank you, @sndbox, for this challenge; it's been very informative. I suppose there is a higher chance of having more neighbors from one's own time zone, simply because they would likely be active around the same times of the day! Not sure if there is another organizational factor.

Having said that, none of my neighbors were from the kr community; at least not to my knowledge.

I've realized that the blocks are formed so fast that a small fraction of a second will place you in a certain block, rather than the one before or after. Maybe this explains why I didn't have kr neighbors in my block. :)
