Figured I'm going to take some time off from curating my usual feed for some time forward and focus on snaps on @peakd. I may be fanboying a bit over this but it's been my favorite frontend for years now and I'm quite excited to see them work so well there.
Lots of new ideas flowing through this addition. I'm a bit busy to write about everything here now but loving the developments of peakd lately and excited about the future of it and hive as a whole!
I made a post some time ago asking for new authors to follow, I've yet to go through the full comments but I'm known to always check back later to see if there's any I missed! Being able to check my following list on snaps is also pretty great so I hope it encourages new authors to build a nice following to make this place better for them to use and to stay active!
Talking about following, great to see the new addition of "Follows you" on people's profile. I asked @asgarth some time ago if they'd bother adding it as it'd be great for connections between accounts on Hive.
I'm hoping other frontends will include some of the things @peakd has included over time like @reward.app, @commentrewarder notification iconsm, reddit and twitter verified users and links to their profiles and now this.
Let's take hive to new heights in terms of retention and onboarding by making this place as amazing and rewarding as it can be for people.
PS. Also excited over community-snaps being developed:
I am a long-form type of woman, BUT I always have more photos than I can work into a post for that every week, and autumn is astonishing me every day ... I may share my "excess snaps" on Snaps -- definitely tempting
One thing that makes the PeakD team truly awesome is their willingness to collaborate with the community and their timely implementation of the ideas suggested to them.
I know they've made many improvements in the past, but I've noticed a lot more have been implemented since Hivefest... like the Wallet, Maps, and now Snaps. I wouldn't be surprised if Shorts are available soon too! 😁
Rightly said. I have reached out to them with some small doable suggestions and it was implemented too. They make things easier for people on Hive.
Finally this has been a long time coming. I'm glad they implemented this feature. Others like me prefer posting short messages and Snap satisfies this demand. I usually use inleo thread but this is a good alternative 😀
PEAKD is the best frontend for long form of posting and they develop new features constantly, I kind of find new ones by navigating around. I wonder if they have a roadmap with also community feedback, that would be great and would make things more transparently for the end users.
To be honest,I can't decide between peakd and ecency which I prefer the most. Peakd is honestly more comfortable to use when commenting on posts and writing too. I love the fact their algorithm brings posts of the same kind with the one you're currently interacting with and on the same community. You don't have to keep refreshing or going back to the top on a particular community you want to make comments on to actually comment,I hope you understand what I'm saying.
This addition is very wonderful,I love lovee it. Haven't tried it yet, hehe but your post says alot about it. It must be really good then.🤓
PeakD is also my favorite Hive Bogging frontend. It is so user-friendly, and there are so many options and features that really help with my blogging.
I hope no one who reads this gets upset, but I think PeakD has a chance to become a mainstream social media platform. It seems like the only thing they're lacking right now is a mobile app.
I noticed the "follows you" earlier today and it got me excited. You'll get to see your connections easily.
Taking about the new features of peakd, I thinks it is very amazing, have you taken a look at how the hive wallet is redesigned? It's very simple for neebies to understand. The hive, hp, hbd and all. I love it so much.
About the snap, I am yet to try it out, but I know I surely will try it out soon.
The follows you is very nice. I didn't know it was your suggrstion.
They have also implemented my recent suggestion for filtering of notifications. The @peakd team implements new features very quickly.
And I really like snaps! I often see something nice to photograph that isn't worth creating a blog around, but is nice to share. Microblogging is perfect for that.
Peakd has been my main front end from the start. Seeing them implement snaps and include other short form content from other front ends is really nice. I think I already spend a lot of time on Hive, and I think Snaps is going to eat up more of it if it picks up steam.
I got to know about snaps through a friend a couple of days ago. I think this short content area was the only thing missing in peakd, and they have integrated it pretty well.
I joined Hive using PeakD, and it has been my favorite front-end too. Not only the navigation here is easy but the interface is fascinating in its appearance.
Lately, I have observed certain changes in wallet appearance too. The other fearures like twitter accoubt appearance, list making are exclusive to this front-end. Moreover, easy searching of accounts by writing @ and a few alphabets, easy searching of posts of particular author via advanced search option art all facilitating features.
Peakd ✌️.
Welcom snaps
Community snaps? @peakd (@asgarth) is delivering as if there is no tomorrow!
I can feel that Snap is really a great way to increase engagement on the platform because it increases mine.
I mean, sometimes I feel lazy to write long-form posts, but with snaps, the power is at your fingertips!
One thing is, I also love PeakD because of its responsiveness.
For a while PeakD was my favorite front-end for writing blog posts and reading content on HIVE, but I have been using Ecency more recently. I also like that I can get some HP delegation for points that I accumulate on Ecency.
Awesome stuff!
It is actually a great deal of fun to be able to navigate through new stuff every now and then. Keeps it entertaining doesn't it?
What do you think of the situation of having multiple microblogs on Hive? At least you can see them all on peakd, but we don't really want these separate silos. The community is too small to sustain that. The dapps can add value in other ways.
I do like that Snaps are already pretty stable and adding features fast.
I was talking to Marky about it the other day and it sounds like he talked to them and they are going to add polls soon too. That will be game changing I think. I like that they added a separate tab next to your replies for Snaps. It makes them easier to sort through.
Yeah thought of that as well, will be great for some quick polls!

Snappy , snappy!
hey! seeing a lot of old usernames coming back, nice!
yup! the old crew is coming back bringing a few back!
Peakd is the best fornt end on hive, it is good to have project like this on hive. Peakd is very smooth there are a lots of amazing feature here and that is good indeed.
I am testing out snaps, the posting experience seems good so far.
It's cool to see the efforts that hive front-end developers are putting in to improve user engagement and experience. I'm yet to look-up the snaps feature and I know it'll be cool. The PeakD frontend has always been a stable end on Hive over the years.
Greetings @acidyo ,
You have the right idea....I see Bleujay doing the same.
Snap is already unleashing a renaissance....I have seen some users back in the ranks...I know of a couple who are out at the moment with not enough time for posts...wonder what they will decide when I tell them about Snap....
Atm ...Snap is it! ^__^
....the place to be!
Peakd is the Best
I'm undecided about Snaps as I mentioned before but knowing me I'll try it sooner and later and PeakD is definitely my favorite frontend 😀. I'll have to check out that 'follows you' thingie.

very true that friend all these updates make #Hive continue to grow and advance in development to improve and involve more potential users in the family
All these innovations from peakd will make it even more popular among the #Hive frontends. It's great to see how the growth and development continues, which will make us reach more people in every corner of the world.
The @commentrewarder is really an interesting concept and everything's good about it so far!
