I created a token for my new app - Steemtaskr, not really out of necessity, but out of curiosity to see what could be done with tokens/SMT's. And to prove some of your musings right, someone bought a heap of them last week or so, despite the fact that they have little value at present. I'm not complaining, as I welcome the extra steem power I converted it into. :)
I am hoping for success and stability for the entire Steem ecosystem, so I am very much hoping that I'll be proven wrong, and that these will be the saving grace and the impetus for putting Steem on the map, in a broader sense.
