Great video, thanks for posting.
Steemfest looked great - I only watched videos, I missed out on the break dancing or whatever :-)
re video Initially I thought you were talking about 'monetizing" the human experience.
Then I started thinking your turning "life" into a "game" where chars get 'points' for "attributes"
eg i'm 80% as a giver 30% as a lover and 50% as a fighter or something
Battle bots on line the new virtual reality game that is really you &me & the new wristband is out soon that shows our 'powers' haha haha
Pokemon v3 with real people or something!
What happens to lonely, solitary, non-social Apies? tricky because we are perhaps "valuing" social worth & connectivity in some ways.
But maybe you are just replacing 'money' as an exchange of value and expanding value to include human experiences as a reward-able thing in addition to goods & typical services (accounting/car washing etc).
So as a "love" / "appreciation" token I think you might be on to something. But perhaps it really only includes the socially connected.
but what if SMT went a step further & actually tried to replace the whole concept of "money". Sort of like a barter token.
eg I fix your car, the butcher provides you meat, my landlady does someones cleaning, and a friend gives me a ride to supermarket.
exchange of value (at some rate) but beyond the concepts & limits of 'money'.
Some good insight there. Thanks for contributing to the conversation.

I think it's a lack of sleep xD
If I want to tip someone using crypto - i can use steem or bitcon, e.g. a generic utility token.
If I want to remember a record of past experiences, I have my heart and feelings.
I believe there will be many others that agree with you and will not participate. However I think there could be many who find utility (and fun) out of such a coin.
I had a good laugh at that. Don't forget the new logo too, tons of new surprise at Steemfest/
We should all just make our own tokens under our names and just try to push our tokens as the next big thing. What would be there use? Doesn't matter, we just need our own token and push it until it pumps! We would all become gansta token hustlers. Keep an eye out for ballin coin the next best token in the crypto world!
Yeah, indeed it will be. So much wow it will have, just like dodge coin. Only people who are ballin ballers will be a part of the distribution. Then once it pumps from the hype, I will sell off all my pre-mined ballin coins that I have.
Good talking to you and getting to know you too. Using blockfolio now with notification activated thanks to you from when I missed the pump at steemfest ^_^
I think Dan's original token of appreciation, "Brownie Points", on the BTS chain were a good example of what you're discussing. If you helped Dan or the community he would use them as a marker of sorts. The price on them rose rapidly, at one point I can remember them selling for 25 BTS / 1 BP. =)
Hmmmm....interesting perspective! Unfortunately there were a lot of stuff that didn't get discussed during the fest, but then again, 2 days are not nearly enough to discuss everything I guess. Glad to chat with you at that break, during Conference Day 1 ;) I sure enjoyed SteemFest immensely and I hope it was the same for you! I just did a very emotional post about it - can't get used to the idea that I'm back to reality, back to my -kinda boring- everyday life after this!!!
It was good meeting you too. Yes, it's always a come down after attending these events. Did you remember where you knew @andrarchy from? It was kinda assuming watching you trying to work it out!
Sometimes words can explain better than writing . I feel like this would change the game up for the platform , it should get more users to join and hopefully raise the price of Steem
So, this crypto currency is still a lot of greek to me. But, would it be a fair understanding of what you said to say I could use the SMT by giving you one for this video because I was drawn into your video because I enjoyed your accent and thought you have a beautiful engaging smile? I don't know if I would have finished the video, again greek, had you not flashed those pearly whites and smiled with your eyes as often as you did at the start. As a result, I may have understood what you were trying to say.
Yes - it can be as simple as "Nanzo's video (although I didn't understand it) made me smile, so I decided to by 20 cents worth of "NanzoCoin". You can then hold 10,000 NanzoCoin (or whether the exchange rate is) as a sort of tokenised memento of that moment.
Maybe in the future we have an account of accomplishments and nice gestures that creates some kind of public social value. I like this idea if it only tracks positive things and ignores negative ones. Otherwise we end up like in the Black Mirror or The Orville episodes where a societiy downvotes people who are exposed in a viral video or something like that. In both scenarious that created horrific repercussions for these downvoted people.
I very much see it as an account of "accomplishments and nice gestures" however a dynamic and changing one. We have a reputation system here on Steem.
However in order show your displeasure in someone or dynamically revise your own opinion of someone's reputation you have to downvote them/ their content. With a token you can simply sell your stake in their token if you previously invested in them.
If you did not invest, you can remain un-invested.
Selling some of your stake in someone else can also be a positive. If someone becomes uber popular with many people wishing to express their gratitude and love, previous stake holders can sell to them. As human value can be defined as the breadth and the depth of the people you touch in a positive way.
Wow, tokenization of important memories and moments? That could lead to some interesting applications... like Instagram with a value-based ecosystem.
Now, how would something like this replace the current social media platforms? Because we kind of already have something like this in place, with viral videos that start off as personal, private interactions earning people lots of advertising money over time.

This is eerily similar sounding to the concept of the episode of 'Black Mirror' Episode is called Nosedive season 3 episode 1 I believe... Dude, go watch that!!!!
Its on Netflix
I see your point here.
Essentially a toke for every human.
Exchange of value no longer an overlay but as a direct exchange for every action and interaction. Possibly where this whole token thing will end up actually.
Upon thinking about it, humans already have a similar system. Only it isn't strict and on demand. For instance when you meet a girl, you take her out, she loves the dinner date you made possible... well.... there's a reward at the end of all that. With your example of token value of each individual, you are also right there. As women, those who are considered "gold diggers" have for a long time realized the value in specific individuals. They are then (the ones who have merit) classifying their value as high as well. Some valued so high that they are beyond the reach of the average man.
Value exchange as a fundamental will always exist in human society. It's clear that we are now in a transition from money to digital value. Looking back, this all makes sense from the humble beginnings of exchanging seeds, spices, shells etc..
Cryptocurrencies and blockchain are all over the news these days thanks to the market performance of bitcoin, and many people are jumping on this bandwagon. Here is a brief overview of what it takes to garner a share of this market.
Have an idea
This is the most important step. The critical beginning of a successful cryptocurrency is to solve a problem. A “neat” or “cool” idea may have garnered attention at the end of 2016, but the market has advanced to the point where a solid business idea that either addresses an unmet need and/or creates significant cost savings is required to stand out from the crowd.
The larger the market covered by the idea or the greater the cost savings that the coin offers means a better chance for success. Cryptocurrencies that target specific industries are increasingly common, so be sure that your coin is either the first in that area or has something unique in its approach that differentiates it from other coins.
Dentacoin is the first cryptocurrency engineered to disrupt the global dental industry, which is a large market worth more than US$440 billion. Out of this, about $400bn is spent on treating dental conditions that could have been prevented. Simultaneously, the costs for patient acquisitions are getting higher, and this is reflected in the end consumer price for dental treatments. This is an example of a great market with significant cost savings. The high level of fragmentation in this industry also makes it an ideal use case for the blockchain technology to be applied. https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@pichreachsey/bite-into-cryptocurrency-with-a-well-crafted-launch

Time will tell :-)

I really like this;
It really encapsulates the concept.
Great stuff. Sat next to you at Ned's fireside talk - stay in touch!
Sure thing. I'll be sure to check out your blog.
Yes you should have a token to play poker ;)
I can call it the "cookie" token!
I think it's a lack of sleep xD

Ballin coin... I love that! It's got to be worth a couple of million dollar marketcap on the name alone!
It was great chatting to you again and getting to know you a bit better at this Steemfest.

@nanzo-scoop It was great meeting you, see you next year. ;)
Likewise. Congrats again on the pregnancy! I hope all goes well with the birth. Look forward to seeing some photos!
Hope you enjoyed steemfest2 I missed out. Was great meeting you last year though lol.
Yeah, Steemfest2 was great. It's a shame you couldn't make this one. I believe I met your brother in Lisbon?
Hopefully I'll see you at Steemfest3!

I missed the Brownie Points idea. It sounds interesting. I'll definitely look into it and how it operated.

So I did follow your thought :D Thank you for the clarification.
Keep smiling, people might keep learning if you do ;)
That's fucking brilliant. How much better would this be as a 'reputation' system than the current scores on Steemit.com?
I sure need to look into these SMT's into detail, because it's all super vague still to me, haha!
We missed our Snapcube last night!
Lol... yes. But hopefully this time you won't forget that I was at Steemfest 2! :P
And I shall never forget your lovely face again! We have now more pictures for proof that we met :P

Hi dear one. U r a humble man
