Everyone is still innocent about smts. But basically it is a step up in this whole steemit journey. Smt will allow you, business, company, vloggers, influencers etc even outside steemit to create their own token to be able to reward their audience etc. Some will simple need to integrate like a steem comment widget or something like that. Some will create steem-based apps etc. Steemit is like an app on steem, steem is an smt. So you may be able to have iwanderela token and distribute that as rewards. People will be able to trade your token for steem and if you want to do crowdfunding through an ico, you will also be able to do it on steem. #smt will go into effect later this year
