It’s been a while since our last update post. SmartVote is still alive and active and we are still upvoting our members but things have been hectic in real life which is slowing us down in terms of updates.
Since STEEM price went down, we are noticing less people submitting new posts but luckily we still have some core members that are still active and writing awesome posts.
What’s new with SmartVote?
We would like to see more Steemians joining us and writing posts to add value to the blockchain so from now on, we are giving some bonus upvote weights to new members.
Every new members will receive:
- 50% bonus upvote weight during their first week
- 30% bonus upvote weight during their second week
The bonus is calculated after the main upvote weight. For example, if you delegate 500 SP to @smartvote, you would normally get approximately 6.13% upvote weight from @smartvote, so for the first week you will actually get 9.19% and then 7.97% on the second week.

We would like to remind you that SmartVote now accepts the posts written in the following languages:
- English
- Chinese
- French
- Vietnamese

What is the Minimum SP to delegate and will I be able to update my Delegation later on?
@arunava, the minimum is 2 SP and you can update it at any time.
Once I delegate to @smartvote do I have to notify you or it is automatic

It will be automatic. Most of the time it's no news good news :-D The first upvote might be a bit delayed, but then everything follows the rules. You need posts to be at least 170 words long, unless it's a DTube video and comments to be at least 10 words long

Are you sure it's not because you have joined 100 servers already? Discord does not allow one user to be in more than 100 servers. We currently have only 91 members in total.

That is mentioned in our intro post, and also on the website. Like most communities on Steem, we have to check the length of posts and comments but we only request for 170 instead of the 300 or more that is usually requested.
We upvote our members posts once a day, if there is no valid posts, we look for comments.
Interesting. Never knew it was a thing beside from Actifit. But do you know if sbi also check for det? xD
