Recently a leak by KGI Securities’ analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the Apple iPhone X is being cancelled sometime in summer. Ming-Chi Kuo is also the person who leaked news on Apple in the past. This report says that the possible reason why the iPhone X may be cancelled is that its price and the lack of demand in the Chinese market due to cheaper alternatives and some customers also said that the notch on the top is a distraction and removes valuable space on the phone. They also said that the cheaper iPhone 8 delivers similar performance for less and are gravitated to buy that instead of the iPhone X.
If this happens it will be the first time that Apple would have discontinued a phone before releasing the new version.
