Smartphonephotography by @juliank and @photocontests - Crosswalks - The place of goodbyes

Hi my friends,

Today’s the smartphonephotography contest day, by @juliank and @photocontests.

Theme is Crosswalks.
This photo came immediately to my mind. It’s home, in Portugal. The crosswalk leads to a graffiti in the wall opposite the street. It says, in Portuguese, “O lugar do adeus”. Translated into English means “The place of goodbyes”. I don’t know who wrote it, but who did it would never imagined that he or she was writing to me. Because home has been the place for goodbyes for ages now. I’m leaving abroad and returning home, always happy as a bird, brings also the feeling of leaving again... of saying goodbye.
So this photo is very emotional to me.
