I learned about smartcash about 2 month ago from @crypt0.
Basically it is a Dash clone but very much focused on community involvement and being usable for everybody.
I like the idea that not only the masternodes have a vote but every coin is able to vote on projects.
After their great start (they were in the beginning of this year in the top 50 coins by marketcap if I remember correctly) they suffered a lot but are still under the top 100.
And there were clear reasons in my opinion: technical stability. They started with lots of problems. Several exchanges had problems integrating their wallet for weeks and the masternodes weren't working very well (masternodes turned off or got not payments) in the beginning (they are life for a few weeks only).
But they managed to fix one thing after another. With the recent release my masternodes are running smoothly for now. And the exchanges are online again. What I really appreciated: The have telegram bots for Exchanges availability and your own Smartnode monitor. So I get a message each time I get a payout or a smartnode is down.
Beside that they have "smartrewards" which are rewards for holding (and not moving) you smart for 1 month (25th - 25th). I like the incentive for hodlers.
Ok - Coineconomi is interesting tut what is about features?
What I liked (last video of @Crypt0 about smartcash is that they really try to be as easy to use as possible. They are developing a feature where you can just print a card at home and a merchant with an app can directly take that printed card "with a QR code" to accept your payment. That is an easy but great feature I think.
With the voting system they also solved the problem to sustainable pay for the development of the blockchain. One problem also steemit has. So that is a sound foundation for further innovation.
Is smartcash the total revolution? Not yet - but I think that strong community (very active at conferences) that is building up will make it one of the more successful projects and I am very positive that we see them back in the top 50 at next alt coin run now that the technical obstacles are solved.
Disclaimer: I am invested in smartcash so consider the picture more as a wish of mine than an investment advice. But that doesn't mean that I am not interested in opposing opinions. Please feel free to comment your view on smartcash.
dash is not as private as people think, so be careful with it. you may be leaking information
@famunger as you have not visited my blog in a while I decided to check you out today. For someone invested in #smartcash you have given a very balanced analysis - I like that. It is common to read "dreams" presented as facts. I learnt something new here: I did not know there was a telegram bot for the exchanges. I use the #smartnodes bot on telegram and like it very much. I shall be looking to do the same with the exchange bot. Thanks
Excellent Post! Thanks for informing @famunger
Hm, haven't read anything about it yet - Seems like I should correct that issue after todays's practice :D Thx for sharing!
wow! it is good information that know abot the SMARTCASH.Thanks for sharing this post.
I have as well been way impressed with the team - their quick responses to problems, their presence in the forum on steem and agree its going to be one of the long term players in global commerce...glad to be in on it
thanks for posting
Hmmmzz...I've seen SmartCash rocketing into the top 50 a while ago and now slowly going down. I never really looked into it, since I didn't have a friend like @Crypt0 pointing it out ;-)
I'll take some time tomorrow to read up on the project. Do you have 2 suggestions on where to start? I usually search for solid factual info, info from people I trust or a good interview with project members :-)
Thanks for sharing!
Very interesting post thanks for sharing @famunger
I like the charitable causes they are also involved in!
Whatever a coin is, an active community is the most important and the voice of every member.
Smartcash almost looks too good to be true! I felt the same way about Dash when it was under $10.. I'm all in!
cool feature :-)
