What Cryptopia did seems to be real shady to say the least. They kept our SmartCash locked up until after the 25th when some people would be getting their SmartRewards and others like myself could have set ourselves up to get SmartRewards on Feb 25th. Since Cryptopia drug their feet we won't get SmartRewards until March 25th at this point because you have to not move the Smart for a month to be eligible. It throws us out of eligibility for Feb 25th. Grrrrrrrrrrr
That all being said if I can successfully get my Smart off of Cryptopia and safely on my computer I will feel so much better and then getting my SmartNode up and earning more Smart will be a big relief to say the least.
To be honest I'm really sick of dealing with these exchanges lately. Some would say to use Bitshares but unfortunately some of the coins I want there aren't offered and the order books are pretty thing on a lot of coins. I see a brighter future though hopefully with Komodo's BarterDEX and the atomic swaps.

@brianphobos The Cryptopia should have let you know before Locked Smartcash Like what Bittrex Did When They Decide To Remove any Coins in There Platform , That Will Allow People Decide What to Do with smartcash befor Locked it , exchanges are sick exchanges are sick , but there not an alternative
Well I guess the only difference was that there was a zerocoin exploit that effected ZCoin and SmartCash right at the time they were trying to do the wallet change over so that caused a big mess with the amount of coins. But I'm not entirely sure why they then decided to get rid of the SmartCash market on Cryptopia. It was a complete mess though.

I initially opened an account there for Electroneum and everything went ok. Then this SmartCash situation was a real disappointment.
People are waiting days for trades and transfers to go through. I sent some ETH 5 hours ago to cryptopia. 4 hours and 899 confirmations later, no ETH. The coin I was going to buy is up 30% in the last 2 hours. Read the forums on the website before you use this exchange and you will see what I am talking about
A similar thing happened to me when I bought the coins for the SmartNode. I sent like 1 ETC over there and it went through. Then I sent 114 ETC and it didn't show up all night and I was real worried but it was finally there the next morning. It is never a good feeling.
Komodo uses delayed proof of work but what is it? I have not found anything explaining it to me.

These damn exchanges, always doing shady things. Tons of exchanges were doing that with bitcoin hard forks lol

Beat you to it dude! I posted about this yesterday hehe (in europe time) I have officially pulled all my smart off of Cryptopia so I can confirm it is working now, but yeah, pretty irritating to say the least.

I was just joking about the beat ya to it part btw. But yeah I have got my coins off of Cryptopia and into my wallet. Do you have any on coinexchange.io? I have been trying to withdraw smart from my account there and it is still not letting me, irritating.
Yeah, it's truly been maddening. I'm just happy to have had only a fraction of mine still stored on there. According to some of the SmartCash team, Cryptopia wasn't even going to allow people to have their SmartCash back after delisting it. I am truly grateful they ensured this wouldn't happen, as it would be a nightmare for many people.
Can't wait to have my smartnode up within the week once I build my computer.
Also, have you looked into CryptoBridge? It's a DEX, but it looks promising. I will likely be doing a lot of my trades on there.
CryptoBridge is like openledger with some changes. They both built on top of bitshares
Man if they would have kept my SmartCash I don't know what I would have done. Probably Flew to New Zealand and hunted them down.
I just looked at CryptoBridge. It looks like a clone of BitShares . i haven't used it.
