What is the SmartHive?

SmartCash is a community governance, cooperation & growth focused blockchain based currency & a decentralized economy.

It's built on a few core pillars that promotes growth, community involvement and decentralized governance.

One of these pillars supporting SmartCash is the SmartHive.

The SmartHive is essentially a treasury that is funded by allocated SmartCash from block rewards.
The treasure funds proposals, development and basic maintainment costs.

As we learned in my previous article 70% of the Block Rewards go to the SmartHive.

The utility of the SmartHive is that it works as a platform where everyone in the community can come up with proposals and increase the growth rate of SmartCash.

The proposals can be anything from introducing 3rd party merchants to SmartCash, funding community events to market SmartCash, technology projects to assist the SmartCash community, or charity work to help the disadvantaged. Community run projects and enhancements allow the Hive Teams to focus on developing core SmartCash functionality while empowering the wider SmartCash community.

Any member in the community who has an idea can create a proposals and see what the rest of the community thinks about it. If it passes, funds will be allocated from the SmartHive towards the proposal and make it reality.

Voting on proposals can be done here: https://vote.smartcash.cc/ and in the Web Wallet.

On the website you will see the current proposals. Read through carefully before voting to make a fair vote.

Each coin in your wallet is essentially worth 1 "vote".
A thing to note is that none of your coins are spent when voting.
They only determine the weight of your vote.

Some examples of proposals that passed:
A project in Venezuela that featured an one month of food distribution and marketing campaign to highlight SmartCash.
A telegram/discord bot to help with common questions.
Meetup funds to gather people and showcase SmartCash.
