GTO Muurica Adventures: "711"

in #slurpee7117 years ago

I'm back to driving old girl to work as our family hauler is down due to a radiator issue. Stopped at 711 this morning and had a small flash back.

I seen two SD Sheriffs pull up behind me in a van as I stepped out. So I decided to tell them a quick story:

A few years ago I was leaving base and for whatever reason having a rough day. Like any gear head, I think to myself "I'll romp on the car, that always makes me smile."

Instead of getting on the inerstate just two streets over, I stay on the smaller more heavily patrolled street (because science). Get a little ways down the road and rip on it for half a second. Just after my Vortech Supercharged Cobra played the song of my people (Yyyyeeeeeeeeee.........ppssssshhhhhh) .

I look up and see a white van with attenna's. My inner self "I think that's a cop", my other inner self "Pssshhh, Vans can't pull over people." Ten seconds later "wuurrrp,wuuurrrp."........faaaaaaaaccckkkk mmeeeeeee.

As soon as I jump on the breaks after full throttle,my heater core breaks and shoots coolant and steam all over the windshield and dash as I'm pulling over....."Yayyyyy meeee". The cop, whose approaching my car at this point is pretty aggrivated for whatever reason. He has no sympathy for my situation and continues to write me a reckless ticket (which was later reduced to a speeding in court).

All in all a pretty shitty day that I laugh about now when I look back on it,lol.

As I'm telling the two Sheriffs this story they're both dying of laughter and one replies "Oh, so you were expecting a ticket today?" (Jokingly)

We shook hands and I went on my way to grab a giant slurpee on my way to work, jamming to Aron Chupa. The whole thing brought me back to a good laugh and hopefully it does the same for all of you reading this.
