TRAVEL GUIDE BASED ON OUR TRIP:
During our 4 day road trip, we traveled across the country to some MUST SEE destinations. Our trip was in July 2017 and lasted for 4 days..

Bled and Lake Bled - 0:01 & 1:26
The most famous place in Slovenia. A small town on the edge of a fairytale lake with an island in the centre. You can take what is known as a "Plenta Boat" over to the island and visit the cute little church. You can ring the bell inside, which is supposed to bring good luck. The castle on the top of the mountain offers some amazing views.

Mala Osojnica - 0:07
This essential postcard view of Lake Bled is not easy to get to. It is a very steep walk up some uneven paths, but its definitely worth it.

Pericnik Falls / Slap Pericnik - 0:18
A beautiful waterfall in Triglav National Park. The unique thing about this one is that you can actually walk behind it. You can really feel the force of the water crashing down.

Soča Valley - 0:38
The home of clearest and bluest water in the whole country. This is where to come for some amazing hikes and all the extreme sports you can wish for: paragliding, bungee jumping, kayaking, skydiving. It's like a mini New Zealand!

Kozjak Falls / Slap Kozjak - 0:55
A waterfall hidden inside a cave in the Soca Valley.

Vintgar Gorge - 1:12
A stunning 2 hour walk along wooden boardwalks, over waterfalls. It's very close to the town of Bled.

Lake Bohinj - 1:58
The most stunning lake we saw on the whole trip. Unlike Bled, no buildings are allowed on the lakeside here. So it really feels unspoilt and peaceful when you take a boat out on the water.

Vogel - 2:13
This is actually a ski resort in the winter months, but remains open in Summer so you can get some breathtaking views of Lake Bohinj and the surrounding mountains.

The surprisingly peaceful Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

Tolmin Gorge / Tolminska Korita is another must see sight in the Soca Valley. Even more stunning than Vintgar.
