In maintaining oily skin and reduce the amount of oil produced by the sebaceous glands, some foods should be avoided.

.
They include:
Dairy products such as milk, cheese and butter. They contain high levels of hormones that block the pores and ensue in breakouts. Stick with almond milk and balance your calcium intake with fruits and vegetables.
Coffee as they increase the body's response to stress levels and make the sebaceous glands produce more oil that leads to acne breakout. Green tea is better as it contains antioxidants that destroy free radicals and protect the health of the skin.
White bread and white rice. Rather take brown rice, wholemeal bread, oats and quinoa which are less proccessed.
Avoid deep- fried foods such as chips and doughnut. Eat boiled or roasted foods.
Avoid eating sugary foods as they increase hormones that makes your glands produce more oil and expose you to acne outbreak. Instead of sugary drinks, take fresh fruit juices and green smoothies.
- Alcohol: They act by taking out all the fluid in your system leaving you dehydrated which makes your glands produce more oil as a make up. You can take lots of water instead to help flush out toxins and hydrate the skin.
