The search for the ultimate powder day; another day in heaven

Mount. Baker Ski Area in the North Cascades National Park always has a unique story to tell. Everyday in the winter is an exciting adventure on this Mountain.

Mount Baker has that laid back local vibe that reminds me of riding in Montana. With deep powder, few lift lines, and all day refills. The beauty of this Mountain is rarely matched, it is both a volcano and a glacier, the evidence of these epic forces are abound in the surrounding glacial bowls.

The most extreme skiers and snowboarders risk their lives hiking the Shuksan Glacier Arm, but the reward can only be described in dreams. Mt. Baker is a kind of dream, it is almost a parallel world were cold, snow, and fog bite at the senses, revealing new observations of self, for both the beginner and expert rider. This is one of the main reasons why we all ride; to try and understand our own limitlessness.

Respect the Mountain
