Well-rested Sixers will take Game 4

in #sixers3 years ago

Gotta admit, I figured the Hawks would find a way to come back and beat the Sixers in Game 3. So used to watching the Philly squad build big leads only to see them continue to shoot 3s and allow opponents to get back into things.

At this point, maybe that's a thing of the past.

With a few days of rest, there's no reason why they can't take a commanding lead in the series. It's time to turn up the heat.

Look for the supporting cast - led by Tobias Harris - to take a bit of the pressure off Embiid as the Sixers pull away late. No reason to make this a six- or seven-game series. Win Game 4, finish it off in five and get ready for the conference finals.

I would love to see Tobi take control of a game!

Would love anything that doesn't require playing Embiid too many minutes

Sixers will need a lot out of the bench once again in order to secure the win, with the way that Shake, Furkan and Matisse played in game 3 a lot of pressure was off the starting crew; I think that is the recipe for success for the sixers along with a good Tobias performance. Have to think Trae Young will get it going for the next game though, the Sixers will need to force the ball into the hands of Collins and Gallinari and accept the consequences.

Giving up 3rd quarter leads are a thing of the past (hopefully) now that we have a relatively competent coach in Doc Rivers! Though he still scares me a little bit when he puts out a full bench lineup on the court in the SECOND ROUND of playoffs. The bench performance is crucial for the success of the Sixers going forward.
