I still prefer regular fries because they go with everything… I mean sweet potato fries still taste kind of sweet and I just think that’s awkward, isn’t it ?!
I think the flavour is just something you have to get used to. Also, sweet potato fries can actually vary a lot in flavour, depending on the cut, the seasoning etc !

Not just a pretty face huh!
I would love to know how to cook sweet potato chips so they have that same crisp outside smooshy inside... I know the usual method is to start with a slow deep fry, and then drop them into a really hot one.
I think you might also make them extra crispy if you dunk them in something like tempura batter before deep frying .. But I've never tried making them myself!
