Sugar also causes depression - probably part of the inflammatory process. Unfortunately depression craves more sugar - begets more depression - circle that never ends...then the weight gain increases the mental suffering causing more depression. Why something so bad has to taste so good, bugs me.
The other thing I wanted to add is that anything with sugar in it most likely isn't real food anyway....but a chemical compound.

You're right, it's easy to get in a vicious circle with sugar.
It seems like almost everything that tastes delicious is actually bad for our health (except fruit maybe)
