My mom worked at a nursing home for most of my childhood. Sometimes when she couldn't find childcare for me after school, I had to go with her to the nursing home, and "hang out" with the residents. The phases of the moon, for whatever reason, absolutely have an affect on the behavior of the very old and the very young. My personal speculation, purely based on observation and superstition, is that they are more affected because they are closer to whatever exists before or after our consciousness here in the mortal realm. It's always been a bizarre phenomenon, and I still notice it in my children during the changes of the moon. Great article!.
