The #silvergoldstackers community’s traditional Secret Santa is underway for 2025. In prelude to this annual gift exchange @silverd510’s customary imitative; 12 Days of Christmas, lay bare to what shiny tickles our fancy and perhaps reveal deep insights into the psyche of the gift recipient.🤔
On the third day of Christmas, actually August, my retailer sent to me...
To my dear Secret Santa,
Considering this low premium choice was seemingly overlooked from my 2024 Christmas post I took things into my own hands this summer acquiring my typical pair, and I usually purchase a pair. Now having these in hand I've enjoyed them much better than I thought. I wanted more. I moved up my next dollar cost average (DCA) purchase bringing me a total of thirteen rounds.
I wished I could have acquired more but for some reason they were priced more than the concurrent silver Maple Leaf which are the silver I was supposed to acquire according to my stacking plan. I was able to afford thirteen rounds over the summer of 2025 and stock didn’t last either. My retailer has no plans to restocking either the Type 1 or Type 2 and any more of these would have to come from the secondary and walk-in sellers.
Currently I'm down to twelve as I have already given one away. I have already earmarked some of these to giveaway as gifts. Believe me, It will just as much a joy to receive as to give.
Therefore I will once again suggest the Scottsdale In Omnia Paratus this Christmas. It is still a pretty low premium option that is friendly for the cost conscience gift giving Stacking Santa.
And on the forth day of Christmas in October I borrowed one of these...
This was originally purchased as a filler round that my cousin @punkysdad and I combining an order from a brand new local online retailer. I took a closer look at this Asahi generic round and loved it for it's nautical theme and minimalist simplicity. The Compass Rose is often the primary feature embellishing charts and maps for centuries of marine navigation. Even with the widespread adoption of electronic GPS navigation the Compass Rose remains a distinct feature on electronic navigational maps.
Also, the Compass Rose reminded me of a Christmas tree top decoration in my family when I was in those magical childhood years. 🎄🎁🎅
In the event that my Secret Santa deems that I have enough Scottsdale In Omnia Paratus my Forth Day wish of the Asahi Compass Rose would be a perfect generic silver alternative, and I can give this round back to my cousin. Thanks for the loan cuz.

These In Omnia Paratus rounds are perfect for my taste, in hindsight I should have bought two rolls but I didn't have that much cash at the time.
The latest is that the union and Canadapost have reached a tentative deal, 🤞though still losing more than a few $ million/day.
Under half speed today, I can't do much today.

I kinda want to buy myself a gold coin for Christmas 😆
I had to check back in my post, I have just silver in this post, perhaps you were inspired by another recent post. Gold is getting very expensive (or fiat's buying power is worth lesser) Do you have a particular gold in mind. I'm just getting into fractional gold in legal tender form like these Maple grams, One gram each making gold more affordable. Very tiny and easy to accidentally lose so refrain from removing them from their card.

Yeah I was just thinking in general from reading your posts.
I actually don't have ANY gold or silver which is crazy.
I mean ... I'm definitely not one of those people that think the world will fall apart but people will politely sit down and trade silver haha but it's more about the history like you show in your posts and it's just a cool, valuable thing. Thinking about a small investment into a 1/100 oz coin.
Been eyeing these prospector coins I live near an old mining area.
Those grams are really cool though.
This appears similar to the Alaska Mint prospector, 'Panner Joe.' I could be wrong.
I think Canadians will be more civil when the SHTF as everyone's wealth gets stolen by government and given to the wealthy. The mandatory transition into a new CBDC system will MOSTLY... k.o.w, ...be orderly. But just in case it's less than orderly, it wouldn't hurt to be prepared and diversified. BTC, LTC, Doge, gold and silver, 😉
Gold and Silver does make more sense because it's literally offline. I think it's a stretch that people would trade btc wallets printed on paper or something in the hopes it will be used again. Although, the price of btc is still SUPER high if you think about it like in terms of 1 unit and how the price started. So who knows. It could actually stay high enough that people barter with it during chaotic times.

The Compass Rose do bear semblance to my old family tree tops star, that was the second reason why I think this silver round can pass as a Christmas silver round. I wish I knew where it went.
Do you think the Magi followed a 4 point star? Or an angel? All we know that this star of Bethlehem moved/led according to scripture.
