“Aye Sairrr!...." Bleujay replied as she turned and called out names, "Able Seaman Thebighigg and Seaman Novacadian!”
“Aye Sairrr?” “Aye?!”
“Lower the dinghy at once and retrieve those poor souls!”

As the dinghy came within two hundred feet of the Silverton nearly all of the ship’s crew were up-top. Cheers and whoops and broad smiles finally broke into an old Scottish rowing hymn…

Indeed, the crew was on fire with comradery and enthusiasm as it welcomed home one of its own!
“That bell woke me up!” Standing Officer-Carpenter Trayan said with a grin as he peered over the crowded portside rail.
“Aye Sairrr, what a surprise!” Able Seaman Bulliontools conferred.
Soon the dinghy came alongside the ship’s hull and Commander Galligan barked out his orders…
“Clear the rail! Drop the rat lines!”
Seamen Thebighigg and Novacadian stored their oars and helped the two bewildered passengers to the ratline...
“How wonderful, we're almost here! I wish you a happy weekend men!” Lupega said with a smile as he grabbed the ratline then paused, “Ladies first!”
Leyla hesitated as she gazed high up at the many strange faces and heard the cheering yells and chants above…”Lupega, I’m afraid! I don’t know these sailors...”
“OK , Hahaha , I was very excited and got ahead of myself, but I'm NOT doing it again Hahaha! I’ll go first!”
With that he grabbed the ratlines and began climbing up the side of the ship. As he neared the rail, Galligan thrust a helping hand out and welcomed him…
“Welcome aboard Standing Officer!”
“Standing Officer....” Lupega replied with a confused look, “Ah yes, and good to meet you Sairrr!”
Galligan raised an eyebrow and glanced at Commander Kerrislravenhill who shrugged her shoulders and said nothing.
“Give them some room! Stand back!” Galligan ordered as Lupega helped his companion over the rail and then both stood spellbound in front of the crew.
“Greetings Sailors, what guid news.....guid news indeed!” Lieutenant Bleujay said as she smiled at Lupega and his unassuming guest, then turning back to the crew…”Some of ye are quite new here....and do not know officer Lupega ...a fine officer....we are delighted to be able to bring him aboard!”
Leyla glance at Lupega a moment and then whispered, “Officer?”
Lupega hesitated a moment and then whispered back, “Aye…an officer, I think!”
”This is a time of great celebration...Officer Lupega has been rescued! Our original mission completed....how about that!” Bleujay continued raising her hat in the air, “Yes....Yes...we are quite curious about his companion ...however, we must give her space and allow the Commanders to sort out the matter!”
The crew all cheered and Leyla stepped behind Lupega, half hiding from the boisterous celebration...
“And who is this fine young lady you have brought with you Lupega?” Galligan asked motioning towards Leyla.
“Ah…this is…Leyla, she rescued me from the river!” He said proudly as Leyla smiled and nodded.
“Rescued?! Well than, we have a heroin to welcome aboard!” Galligan called out with a broad smile, “Lupega, report to Warrant Officer Hack and let him check you over before we head to the galley. Kerrisl, take the young lady Leyla down below and see that she is in good health as well!”
“Aye Sairrr…” Kerrislravenhill replied as she held out a hand to Leyla...
Hesitant to leave Lupega’s side, Leyla paused a moment and glanced at him before walking away. Meanwhile, Lupega looked befuddled. He glanced at all the unfamiliar faces and smiled but in his mind he felt quite lost….
“Good Sairrr…can you show me where to find this Warrant Officer Hack?” He said quietly.
A brief hush fell upon the gathered group of officers and seaman...
“Lupega, surely you know the way to sick bay?” Bleujay asked with a concerned look.
“I….I’m not surely sure Maam…”
Now Galligan showed real concern and took a hold of Lupega’s arm,
“I think you better let me show you the way mate.” He said quietly as he gave a disconcerted glance to Bleujay and then led Lupega towards the galley stairs…
“Alright! Back to work all of you and show your best manners!” Bleujay ordered as she stepped away from the rail and stood in dismay at what she had just witnessed…°°° ’Brine Fatigue is real...for everyone…” °°° She thought to herself.
