The Black Hole

This interesting short film is about a man who finds a black hole that allows him to get everything he wants without limiting himself to the barriers imposed by everyday life. In itself, this is about what happens when man can be seen in the freedom to get everything he wants without any kind of limitation between him and the satisfaction of that desire.
The lack of limits, of barriers to be overcome in the continuous path of life, makes the individual a power holder, which places him in a position of control over everything and everyone. However, this power at a certain point is nothing more than transitory, since it is granted through the existence of an object (in this case, the black hole). The object that empowers the individual gives him a mechanism that will be used in his interaction with others, being these "other" people who do not hold such power, therefore the man, being the possessor of the black hole, is differentiated from the others, so he will do everything possible to base his existence on that new individuality, on that armor, on that defense manifested in the object of power.

You could also analyze all this from the figure of the leader, which is usually the figure that concentrates a certain power over the will of other individuals. The leader is in that position thanks to his achievements, so the black hole would represent what gives the leader power, that is, what gives him the ability to realize his goals. However, when the leader feels that his field of action is unlimited, he may incur the violation of morality, in order to satisfy his desire, seeing this reflected when he begins to steal the money from the safe.

Someone once said that the greatest fear of those who have power is to lose it. When losing the source of power, the individual, imprisoned in his anguish, finds himself locked in his own weaknesses, with his own being, without the presence of said object, which is reflected in the film at the moment in which the hole Black falls and leaves the man locked in the safe. When the hole falls, the man's boundless freedom falls and even the money he stole remains outside the safe, which symbolize how alien is to what man obtains by manipulating the limits established for harmonious coexistence with others. The satisfaction of his desire is separated from him when he realizes that this beloved object was lost, isolating it from the reality that is around him, causing in him a distancing, a splitting of the reality, where his office, the building and, in general, the world, continue to exist, while he is locked in his own secluded reality, closed to everything.

The desire for power, without established limits in which one can develop healthily, for the benefit not only of the individual but also that of others, ends up being the worst of prisons.

El Agujero Negro

Este interesante cortometraje trata de un hombre que encuentra un agujero negro que le permite obtener todo lo que quiera sin limitarse a las barreras que impone la cotidianidad. En sí, esto se trata de lo que ocurre cuando el hombre puede verse en la libertad de obtener todo lo que desea sin ningún tipo de limitación entre él y la satisfacción de dicho deseo.

La inexistencia de límites, de barreras a superar en el continuo camino de la vida, convierte al individuo en un detentador de poder, lo que le coloca en una posición de control sobre todo y sobre todos. Sin embargo, este poder en cierto punto no es más que algo transitorio, ya que es otorgado mediante la existencia de un objeto (en este caso, el agujero negro). El objeto que empodera al individuo le entrega un mecanismo que será usado en su interacción con los otros, siendo estos “otros” personas que no detenten dicho poder, por lo tanto el hombre, al ser poseedor del agujero negro, se encuentra diferenciado de los otros, por lo que hará todo lo posible por basar su existencia en esa nueva individualidad, en esa armadura, en esa defensa manifestada en el objeto de poder.

También se pudiera analizar todo esto desde la figura del líder, que por lo general es la figura que concentra un cierto poder sobre la voluntad de los demás individuos. El líder se encuentra en dicha posición gracias a sus logros, por lo que el agujero negro representaría aquello que le da poder al líder, es decir, lo que le da la capacidad para hacer realidad sus metas. Sin embargo, cuando el líder siente que su campo de acción es ilimitado, puede incurrir en la violación de la moralidad, con tal de satisfacer su deseo, viéndose esto reflejado cuando comienza a robar el dinero de la caja fuerte.

Alguien dijo una vez que el temor más grande de quien tiene poder, es perderlo. Al perder la fuente de poder, el individuo, preso de su angustia, se encuentra encerrado con sus propias debilidades, con su propio ser, sin la presencia de dicho objeto, lo cual se ve reflejado en la película en el momento en que el agujero negro se cae y deja al hombre encerrado en la caja fuerte. Al caerse el agujero, se cae la libertad sin límites del hombre e inclusive el dinero que robó se queda fuera de la caja fuerte, lo que simboliza lo ajeno que en verdad está aquello que obtiene el hombre mediante la manipulación de los límites establecidos para la convivencia armónica con los otros. La satisfacción de su deseo se ve separada de él cuando se tiene presente que se perdió ese objeto amado, aislándolo de la realidad que hay a su alrededor, ocasionando en él un alejamiento, una escisión de la realidad, en donde su oficina, el edificio y, en general, el mundo, siguen existiendo, mientras que él se ve encerrado en su propia realidad apartada, encerrada a todo.

El deseo de poder, sin límites establecidos en los que se pueda desarrollar sanamente, en beneficio no sólo del individuo sino en el de los otros, termina siendo la peor de las prisiones.
