With countless deal sites across the internet it is only natural that you will get bombarded with daily emails even though you have not subscribed to any of them.
Groupon, Red chilli, Loot and Daddy’s Deal were the first to target me.
I did not pay much attention to these emails. Not for me! How wrong I was. Soon I found myself starting to open these emails. Later on I start scrolling down looking what they advertise and not long after that I register on one of the sites and order my first item.
And that is where it all started. Pretty soon I was looking where I could get the best deal, which site keep track of my interest and which site is best on delivery.
“Find all deals in one place”
“Round up all the latest discounts”
“50% discount”
These deal sites are good! They know just how to pique your interest even if you say to yourself, “Not today”.
I found the following insert on Daddy’s deal claiming that they are different and that they promise to keep it that way;
Daddy’s Deals is different and they promise to keep it that way. Here’s why:
• They won’t bombard your inbox with boring daily emails. (Where did they get my email address in the first place?)
• Expect deals from legendary brand names and from new brands you’ll enjoy meeting, on things that you’ll love to have. (What a temptation)
• The deal is always yours. They won’t make you wait for 6 trillion people to buy before you can get what you want. i.e. not like Zappon or Groupon (True?)
Yes there are good deals on a daily basis, purchasing gifts is now easier and more affordable, it is convenient and I can shop in my own time but so often I found myself not really in the need for the items I purchase. These sites do encourage people to spend money unnecessarily and can be extremely irritating when you cannot get what you want.
I can see the advantage for businesses who will not only start creating brand awareness but who will also find new customers and grow their businesses but with thousands of new daily deal and coupon websites emerging each year my advice to you; be careful who you deal with and watch your pocket!
Happy shopping!
