I am not the first to talk about genomics nor am I going to be the last because it’s a very important field and its relevance to the survival of the human’s race cannot be overemphasized. But today I will make my own submission on the subject of Genomics and how Shivom seeks to revolutionize it.

 Firstly, what is Genonics? Genomics according to the dictionary simply means the branch of molecular biology concerned with the structure, function, evolution, and mapping of genomes.  I reckon the next thing is to know what a genome means the complete set of genes or genetic material present in a cell or organism. 

The key to good health is to knowing what your body needs and giving it at the right time and at the right volume. But how can you truly know in great depth what your body needs? That is where Genome sequencing comes in.  Genome sequencing is the process of ascertaining the genetic makeup of an individual (organism). 

Prior the technology of genome sequencing, death has been attributed to several unexplainable circumstances which all or mostly bothered on the ignorance of the complete genetic profile of the deceased. But thanks to Genome sequencing, that can be changed and it is changing. Today the level of our technological innovation has provided us a way to surmount the obstacles that lies in our way to true and affordable healthcare. 

But how can this be done? This is where Shivom comes in. Shivom is a new dawn in healthcare system. Shivom is a product of two fascinating technological innovation. It should be known that the first ever Human Genome that was sequenced cost billons of dollars and it took more than a decade to complete. 

We don’t have such time and patience to wait that long for the genetic profile of 1/100th of the world’s population to be sequenced. This we own to technology. Today is cost far less to sequence a genome and it will continue to grow lesser thanks to Shivom technological innovate idea of leveraging the genomic and blockchain science. You may ask what does an individual seek to gain from being part of the Shivom platform, below are some points of benefits.
