Vlad had lived hundreds of years in his castle in the woods, only occasionally bothered by angry mobs, curious villagers and, most recently, a weird mix of lusty teenagers and tax collectors.
Taxes! Could one believe it? He, who had lived here long before the current government had even be founded, who had seen the rise and fall of several cultures ... he was supposed to pay taxes?
Luckily, the collectors made for a tasty afternoon snack. So did the teenagers. It was rare these days to find true virgin blood, not having to actively search for it was nice. It felt a little bit like a special delivery service.
More than once, he had considered to set up a BnB, increasing the amount of people coming through, but in the end he decided that it was too much of a hassle. Who would write positive reviews after being killed? Nobody. And that would be so disappointing.
But one more thing Vlad had not expected was the visit of one particular creature. A creature he had thought to have gotten rid of the moment he had turned into an immortal being. The moment he had stopped having blood.
He had been mistaken.
And now, this was awkward ...
The mosquito tried really hard to get something out of Vlad. Really tried. The vampire started to feel bad for the small animal. Why did it not just give up? What had attracted this insect to him? He did not sweat and his smell resembled more the one of a grave than a tasty, living human being.
"Well", Vlad said and made a decision, "I guess you'll be my new pet."
Carefully, he picked the mosquito up by its wings and carried it to the basement, where the latest "food delivery" was still chained up. Sharing was caring after all.
Please ignore Vlad's tiny hand, I suck at drawing humanoid things. I tried.
Make Wallachia Great Again.
That's another bloodsucker and Vlad refuses to be associated with him
Even impalers have standards.
Oh god, after all this time I just noticed that your name is "f of x"
Bahahah. yep.
As a "Wallachian" I approve this message!
And that castle is wallachian :D
@alexdory On behalf of all people with western European heritage, thanks for dealing with that whole Ottoman mess a while back.
You have touched a sensitive cord here and it's the most humbling thing that I have ever heard a westerner say about us.
Indeed, some of the Romanians believe that they did just that for hundreds of years and that these invasions kept us behind. The reality is not that simple, but indeed, an important part of our wealth has been lost trying to fight, pay off, or simply burning our own country while retreating to the mountains where he had a fighting chance.
So thank you for grinding the Romanians' gears :D
Wait, I thought that the fact that the Romanians held off the empire and are still recovering from it was an established fact. Are you saying there are some who disagree?
Hahahaaw, so cute <3
As usual, lovely drawings <3
Vlad seems like a nice guy. If only he didn't sick blood for a living.
We all have our bad sides
great history,,
cute castle but it gave me some fear, especially the drawing.
I know another type of bloodsucker. The kind that suck taxpayers money dry XD
You did read what I wrote about the tax collector, yes?
Of course! They were tasty XD
