Secrets for sale

From the start of the SHIELD project the vision has been bringing fast and anonymous transactions to people at a low price. Unfortunately at this moment there is little you can buy with SHIELD. Of course you can pay friends and family with SHIELD after a dinner but there is a reason why we’re not Dinnercoin. That is because the use case would be very small and would only complicate things further.

We think it’s very important for us to contact every company we know and ask them if there is a possibility for them to implement SHIELD. But because of the relatively bad name Cryptocurrencies have with the media not many companies responds and the ones that do are usually not interested. This is why we think it’s important to bring the power to the users of SHIELD. To give the community around SHIELD the possibility to easily buy or sell good and services with or for SHIELD.

Presenting: “The SHIELD economy”

An Openbazaar fork on which you can buy and sell goods and services with SHIELD. For some this may not be the greatest of secret projects and although we think it would be great for SHIELD to have a marketplace on which you can use SHIELD to sell and buy goods, some differ in opinion. To those who hoped for something else: we want to tell you that there are more secret projects coming in the near future and that at this moment we’re looking to do another secret project in Q2. But more information will be coming if we’re sure that we are in fact able to deliver.

But what does “The SHIELD economy” mean for SHIELD?

Well, in a way it makes SHIELD more decentralized. In the future people will be able to stake with coins or even set up a (shared) masternodes. Meaning that people with money can confirm transactions and in the process get more SHIELD. First everyone with a relatively fast computer would be able to, when we implement PoS everyone with coins will be able to. In combinations with a marketplace everyone that can do anything would be able to confirm transactions — truly decentralized in that way.

That’s great, but there’s more. It will also bring SHIELD to more people, and ultimately make it easier for businesses to start using SHIELD. This is great for everyone as it makes it possible, for the SHIELD users, to buy more stuff with SHIELD. This without having to first go to another currency. For the businesses it gets easier to start using SHIELD. We will of course implement a system in which we have verified users, which we could give to official businesses registers on the marketplace.

We think that the marketplace will bring SHIELD:

3. Better use case for SHIELD.
