Монфорте-де-Лемос
Столица винодельческого региона Рибейра Сакра. Некогда Монфорте-де-Лемос был городом-крепостью на вершине горы, но постепенно вырос и сполз вниз по склону, захватив окрестности. Главная достопримечательность города - построенная кардиналом Родриго де Кастро Коллегия Нашей Госпожи де-ла-Антигуа, которую в наших краях скромно называют Галисийский Эскориал.
Как-нибудь расскажу, как выглядит это здание изнутри, однажды я был здесь с экскурсией.
Рядом с коллегией находится маленький римский мостик через реку Кабэ.
В память о городе-крепости на вершине горы остались участок крепостной стены, квадратная башня Torre del Homenaje и бывший монастырь, переделанный в 1928 году в четырехзвездочный отель-парадор.
