Last week's shadow contest was hosted by @nelinoeva and the theme was playground shadows.
I thought it was a fun theme and I couldn't resist taking a few playground shadow photos of my own.
It was a bright sunny day. Perfect for shadow hunting, but maybe too hot to be playing outdoors.
I had this playground all to myself on a Saturday afternoon.

Sometimes shadows from objects cause much more interest than the object itself.
I especially liked the shadow of the spiral in the fourth photograph!!!

Very interesting photos Melinda! A Ghost town playground, how hot was it?
Maybe 90 degrees? I guess people just stayed in with their air-conditioning.
Yeah that's hot to be playing hard on a playground. Last week we had what they weather people called a "cold front" and I was laughing because the highs were 89 and 90 each day! lol. It DID feel good though! Supposed to be over 100 everyday this week.
Our temps are going to be in the 70s all week. Not terribly summery any more.
And into the 50's at night? I was celebrating because we're supposed to hit 73 tonight, or early in the morning actually and that will feel good come sun up.
Yep! Perfect sleeping weather here. It's so nice to be able to leave the windows open, day and night!
