Premarital Sex

in #sexuality7 years ago

I'm a bit odd, prudish perhaps, but I personally don't want pre-marital sex. Perhaps, in the current society we live in, this makes me a sexual deviant due to this desire. I don't hold this belief for any religious reasons, I see it as pragmatic. For you see I grew up in a broken home and my main desire in life is to give my children an stable household. I believe that if you wait until marriage, you will have the greatest outcome in life, the highest chance to have a long term relationship, and have someone to die old with.

Often when I am tell people of this, I am told that I am far too idealistic, that there are no virginal girls anymore in the world, that we live in a decadent society and that you need to just deal with it. I need to lower my standards and just try to find someone that has only had sex with a few people. They get mad, yell at me saying "Throw this idea out, get laid, enjoy having sex now." This I see as clearly incorrect, I feel they are missing out on the greatest reward. Deferral of gratification is a very real and powerful thing, but if you can't wait then you won't get as great a return.

I blame this disapproval of those who have premarital sex, and the massive amounts of degeneracy on societal changes, likely socialist in nature, attempting to dismantle the family structure. It is also caused by the introduction of the pill which has given women control of reproduction and changed our ideas about sex. This has been a massive change that we have not biologically become prepared for. I personally do not believe in the pill either, except for medical purposes, or if you are married and want a temporary hold on children.

Now I know a lot of people will get mad, saying "You can't just preach abstinence people are going to have sex anyway", but this is not the argument I'm making. I'm saying abstinence will bring you some of the greatest and happiest outcomes lifelong. Spiritually I believe that this will bring the greatest outcome as well, and I am a highly spiritual person, but I know that to many this is not a matter that they care for (To their detriment, but it is their choice).

If you've made it this far, Thank you for reading. Let me know your thoughts, where I'm wrong, where I'm right. If there is something you want more fleshed out on this, or any area you feel I'm missing that I should add my thoughts to. :)
