A mum can be anything and everything to her kids and, in our house, one of the many things I am is... The Fixer!
Broken play swords, stuck zips, broken toys, and now, socks!
Now I would normally just throw away a sock with a hole in it but in these times with too much waste and, more importantly, Tayler is very fond on these socks!
So I grabbed a needle and some coloured threads (Tayler chose the blue thread), and a ball (I have no idea where my darning mushroom is!), and I got darning. I showed Tayler my progress and he was very happy with the finished sock.
One happy kid!

How sweet. We certainly have our share of holey socks. I should give it a go.
It’s not very difficult and there are lots of tutorials online. Plus, even if your stitches are messy, it’s only on a sock!
There’s a trend at the moment of fixing holes in clothes with very visible and decorative stitches. There are some wonderful examples, just search visible mending. :)
