There are any kind of files allowed. If you upload a screen shot as well, it will give the buyer a graphic as an illustration.
Amazon Kindle (ebooks) has a reader...
the reader accesses a library of kindle files.

As a user you download the book over HTTPS after paying. I don't know whether Kindle is a walled-garden or Kindle can also open files you download with a browser.
