  • Animation.
  • Positive and negative aspects.
  • Soundtrack.
  • Conclusion.

- Production and development:

The series is based on an original concept created by Thomas Astruc. Toei Animation released a promotional video of the original idea in 2012, before the new trailer in October 2013 revealed that it had been Re-designed in CGI, the modeling and animation are produced by SAMG Animation in South Korea.

The original concept dealt with political issues aimed at an adolescent and young adult audience, but after failing to attract the attention of television networks, it was restructured for a younger audience.

In October 2015 Raquel Mendez (Co-producer of the series) announced that she would have two more seasons.

- History and what it is about:

Marinette and Adrien are two high school students with a feature that sets them apart from other teens: They're superheroes with super skills! Marinette becomes Ladybug and Adrien becomes Chat Noir. Both have an important mission in hand: to protect the citizens of Paris from the clutches of evil. To do so, they must capture the "Akuma", the dark creatures that the mysterious Super Villain HawkMoth (Lepidoptera in Spain and Le Papillon in France) creates with the intention of getting their "Miraculous" (powers that grant them) the maximum force.

- Main characters:

  1. Marinette Dupaing Cheng /ladybug.
  2. Adrien Agreste/ChatNoir.
  3. Tikki.
  4. Plagg.
  5. HawkMonth.

1. Marinette Dupaing Cheng /ladybug:

Marinette is a teenager who dreams of becoming a great fashion designer. She becomes the super heroine ladybug with the help of Kwami Tikki to defend Paris together with her teammate ChatNoir. She is sweet and cheerful but a little shy but repeated by her classmates. She is in love with Adrien for which she acts awkwardly when talking to him, but in a very courageous way when she is transformed into a ladybug.

2. Adrien Agreste/ChatNoir:

Adrien combines her life as a student with her work as a model in the clothing company led by her father Gabriel Agreste. He becomes the superhero ChatNoir with the help of his Kwami Plagg, to defend Paris together with his ladybug teammate. He is completely in love with Ladybug and wants to find out who she really is. When he becomes Chat Noir, Adrien adopts a more liberal personality because he takes off his responsibilities and under the mask can be who he really is, a bold and joking person. Chat Noir is usually flirtatious with Ladybug and doesn't give up on trying to conquer her, and he doesn't hesitate to defend Ladybug when the situation calls for it, demonstrating that he is willing to risk his life for her.

3. Tikki:

Marinette's Kwami, when she fuses with Marinette's magic earrings, she can turn her into a ladybug, always helping Marinette by being a normal girl or as a ladybug like trying to talk to Adrien or giving her advice to save Paris, she has proved to be very friendly and friendly, flattering and gentle. It looks like a ladybug, with a black dot on her head and her whole body in red. It has antennas and light blue eyes.

4. Plagg:

It's Adrien's Kwami. By merging with Adrien's magic ring, you can transform him into Chat Noir. Unlike Tikki, he is carefree and lazy and always wants to eat cheese, especially his favorite, Camembert. Although he sometimes shows little interest in Adrien's affairs, he then shows a certain affection for him. It looks just like a black cat, has ears, whiskers and bright green eyes, and as always, its head is larger than its body, which is very small.

5. HawkMonth:

HawnMonth is the main villain of the series, a mysterious man who possesses the power to turn citizens into super villains with their Akumas, dark butterflies corrupted by their magic, he usually chooses people who at that moment feel sadness or anger and takes advantage of the occasion to deceive them, he allows that person to get revenge, but in return the super villain must look for ladybug and Chatnoir.

- Animation:

The 3D animation of the series is very good because it has many varieties of textures and colors as well as the addition of 2D scenarios that make the series more eye-catching. Although there are a lot of empty spaces on stage, which makes the series look like something of low quality.

-

- Positive and negative aspects:

His great quality of 3D animation, the designs of the characters their French and Korean voices, their history and development of the characters, the villains Akumatized, the loving picture between ChatNoir and ladybug and between Marinette and Adrien.

On the other hand, each episode of the series has a very repetitive plot. In addition to Ladybug and ChatNoir not knowing the true identity of the other, it makes each chapter leave us waiting for more, leaving us desperate and excited.

- Soundtrack(Opening):

The soundtrack is a very positive aspect, as its sound is very addictive and engaging.

- Conclusion:

The series itself is very good because it has excellent quality 3D animation and 2D backgrounds, good character design, very good combination of action, comedy and love plot, good voices of the protagonists in French and Korean. The failures of the series would be that it has the same repetitive pattern. But that's changing in season two. So far there are very good chapters available. Possibly all these negative aspects will be corrected, making the series a success.
