MacGyver

Before I start I want to point out that Mc Gyver is my first love, I had giant posters of him in my room, I bought all the magazines that spoke of him like a hysterical fan. I have seen all the episodes minimum 3 times and if I fall by chance by zaping I look obviously!

Is an American television series produced from 1985 to 1992. It features seven seasons,139 episodes and two television movies (1994). It is a series of action, adventure and espionage, created by Lee David Zlotoff.

All episodes are broadcast by ABC in the United States. The series was shot in Los Angeles during Seasons 1, 2 and 7, and in Vancouver for the Seasons 3 to 6.

The last episode of the series was broadcast on 21 May 1992.

Richard Dean Anderson is the actor performing Angus MacGyver, a character working as a secret agent,adventurer or humanitarian missions.
In the second season, he became an agent of the Phoenix Foundation. His most amazing ability is the practical application of the natural sciences and engineering sciences combined with the ingenious use of everyday objects.
With this great talent, he finds many of extraordinary solutions to solve various problems like the escape during a captivity or the defusing of explosive charges. The series has been an audience success for ABC.

Two TV movies were produced for television, MacGyver: The Lost Treasure of Atlantis and MacGyver: The Path to Hell, aired on ABC in 1994.

In 2003, a serial pilot called Young MacGyver was broadcast in the United States, featuring MacGyver's nephew Clay, played by Jared Padalecki.

In 2016, a reboot of the series, also titled MacGyver, is released in the United States. The title role was awarded to Lucas Till.

Overview

The series revolves around the character of Angus MacGyver, whose main asset is his putting into practice the scientific knowledge and the inventive use of the objects at his disposal, using only his Swiss Army Knife and some adhesive paper.

MacGyver's intelligent solutions helps him to solve intractable problems often in situations of life or death it requiring him to improvise complex devices in minutes. There is the major attraction of the series.

All of MacGyver's achievements were based on scientific principles. In the rare cases where MacGyver uses household chemicals to create poisons, explosives or other things deemed too dangerous to be accurately described to the public, some details have been altered or left in the vague not to give bad ideas to some people...

The series also often focused on social issues but most of the scenarios remain based on MacGyver's adventures working for the US government and later for the Phoenix Foundation.
Angus MacGyver is a secret agent registered in the Outside Services Department, then an employee of the Phoenix Foundation, a private, not-for-profit corporation. His manager, who is also his friend, is Peter Thornton. He is also the one who will propose to him to enter the Phoenix Foundation.

MacGyver is a "hero without violence" and does not use firearms, which disgust him to the highest degree, except to knock his enemies with the butt, or use it as an English key.
This genius handyman never leaves his faithful Swiss knife by which he makes all sorts of inventions to get out of the mess: he can just as well clog a leak of water with a chewing gum, plug an acid leak with chocolate, or make a hyper-thruster with a high-pressure cleaner hanging on his back.

The television series was shot in Southern California for its first two seasons, as well as in its final season. Seasons 3 to 6 were filmed in various locations in Vancouver, British Columbia. The estimated budget for each episode was approximately US $ 1 million.

To conclude I would say that
I find that the charm of Mc Gyver lies in the fact that it is against arms and violence. he is super intelligent and very gallant with women. J also loves his eternal brown leather jacket and his superb jeep!
