Sekilas, arlogi ini terlihat kuno, pecah dan buruk. tapi, secara fungsional arlogi ini masih memiliki kualitas. Dan arlogi inilah yg selalu ku pakai setiap hari dalam aktifitasku.
Selama aku memakainya, banyak dari temanku yang menyarankan utk membuang arlogi ini. Tanpa menyadari bahwa mereka juga pernah memakai arlogi yang bagus secara fisik namun buruk secara fungsional (rusak), guna mengedepankan tampilan semata. Tapi maaf, aku takkan membuangnya. karena: "aku tak mengejar fisik dan ke-elokannya, melainkan kualitas dan harga sentimentalnya lah yg membuatku mempertahankannya".
Ya, jika dinilai dari fisik, arlogi ini sangat tidak berharga. (Namun "tahukah" kalian disamping harga fisik, ada harga lain yang penilaiannya tidak secara fisik, mempesona namun selalu diabaikan?)
Yap, "harga sentimental".
Sangat sedikit orang menganggap keberadaan "harga sentimental" dan cenderung mengutamakan harga fisik. Padahal "harga sentimental" jauh lebih mempesona ketimbang harga fisik semata. Karena harga sentimental merupakan nilai emosional yang berasal dari asosiasi pribadi.
Secara fisik arlogi ini memang sama sekali tak memiliki harga. Akan tetapi... Bagaimana jika dinilai dari segi sentimentalnya?
Arlogi yang dianggap tak berharga ini, takkan ku jual meskipun ditawar ratusan ribu rupiah atau juta'an rupiah sekalipun. Karena nilai fisik tersebut, bagiku masih terlalu murah jika dibandingkan dengan nilai sentimental pada arlogi ini. Dan secara sentimental, arlogi ini mengandung banyak momen kenangan indah. mulai dari siapa si pemberi, hingga perjalanan hebat dan hal lainnya yang pernah ku lalui dan telah berlalu seiring dilahap oleh waktu.
Meskipun momen yang dulu telah menjadi masa lalu karena dilahap waktu, tpi semua memori itu ada pada arlogi ini. Ketika aku menatapnya, aku seperti menatap jendela yang memperlihatkan lagi kenanganku yang dulu yang ingin ku ingat selalu di memoriku. Secara sentimental ia sungguh amat bernilai karena: "ia ibarat jendela masa laluku yang mana menjadi satu-satunya jalan bagiku untuk melakukan perjalanan waktu kembali ke masa lalu, walau hanya sebatas imajinasiku". 😊
Jadi, jangan hanya menilai suatu hal secara fisik saja. Siapa sangka hal yang terlihat tak berharga namun sangat tinggi nilainya secara emosional bagi seseorang secara pribadi?! seperti kamu misalnya.

Because of that physical value, it is still too cheap to compare with the sentimental value of this archive. And sentimental, this archive contains many wonderful moments of memories. from whoever the giver, to the great journeys and other things I've been through and become the past as time goes.

When I looked at it, I was staring at the window that showing my old memories that I wanted to remember always in my memory.
