I was alerted to the fact that I'm getting attention for self voting.
Yes. Its true.
I've been around for a long time. I've seen all the drama and all the arguments.
This is my hard earned stake and I'll use it as I please to promote the work I want to promote and to make the most of my content and account. My whole voting scheme is ever evolving and depends on a number of ways and means. Much of that is trying to help other accounts.
If you would take a moment and look at my voting history, you can see that this is NOT a self serving endeavour here.
I just spent 30 Hive just to play around with promotions, for fucks sake. I'm happy to throw stuff around all the time.
Look, I get your argument, but I'm not going to worry myself about your concerns that I'm taking too much of the pool. If that's your concern, I'm not doing that.
I mean seriously; I wander back in here to try to crank up the volume of production and marketing and whatnot and right away folks are apparently upset by a few self votes. For crying out loud.

I just had a thought. Maybe I should set a beneficiary to my posts for a while. Comment a good one and I'll do it. The only problem with this thought is that I can't do it through Exxp, but I am looking for someone to make a plugin for me to syndicate to Hive and LBRY. You know, invest my own in this platform...
You're not the only one doing that. Besides, I've seen your account curating tons of content. That's how I got into following you a few days ago. There's always gonna be this drama around self voting. I'm not doing that, but I don't feel entitled either to complain about how user X uses his stake. Some did abuse this feature in the past, it's true...
Its true that people can and do abuse it. I try to use it.

The real "ABUSE" is the Top Players are circle jerking themselves plenty while creating a bunch of SHITE communities to supposedly counter "Abuse."
I'll see you over at BLURT soon... the Dossier of "Players" I've been building for years was to expose the total SCAM that is the core group of HIVE. They have done far worse than simple "money" control on this network.
If someone is giving YOU shit for self-voting, it's likely coming from one of these Hypocrites.
Have you looked at peakd's settings for posts?
They may allow you to set them and not have to do it on every post.
I have. I usually publish from Wordpress and the Exxp plugin I use does not have options for beneficiaries and very limited in voting. As far as I can tell, those settings cannot be changed once posted.
That said, I am looking for someone to build a plugin to syndicate to Hive and LBRY with more features. It will be Open Source, so folks can take it and modify it at will.
It's a strange idea, that we should be shunned for voting on our own content, Sure, it's on thing when your self vote is upwards of $100+ HBD and you can self vote your self 10 x in a day, draining over $1000 from the community fund, more over if that content you are voting is tripe... but, if you post quality content and not spam, why not drop yourself a self vote?
If it was a big issue, then the powers that be, would have patched it in an HF, but that has not happened, so, in all regards, it should be okay and not a point of debate or drama unless you are rocking $100hbd self votes on the daily.

I believe it's all about sensibility. In general I'm not all for it, but it's clear when it's done in abusive manner. However selfvoting a quality post, not comment, once a day or so is not a problem for me personally. I don't restraint from voting in this case if I believe this is content adding net value to the ecosystem.
I don't do selfvoting though, having in my mind some stakeholders might be more radical in this regard.

It's depressing that honest and value adding contributers like yourself get grief when there are so many bull**** artists on here blatently clearing out the rewards pool on a daily basis.
Your the second post this week i have seen being stupidly targeted. I hope this is a growing pain on hive and the community / witnesses finds a better way for the platform to regulate itself without discouraging value adding contributors and community builders like yourself.
I appreciate the comment. I think we have to just do what we think is best and not let nonsense bother us. If you do anything, someone will have a problem with it.
