Its one of those subjects where only personal experience can teach you about you. With that said - My understanding of it (fixing confidence) surrounds 'What is assumed' - Let me give an example - If i say to myself .... "I'm strong , I can do this" the sub-conscious picks up on the assumed state - ((Searching for a lack of confidence)) and proceeds to search for signs of no confidence. At this exact moment my confidence will falter. The fact is that you need to ignore the point where you ask yourself - 'If you feel confident'. My method is simply to quell each fear with a simple visual idea - One of turning an alarm clock off... you see to me fear is just a warning - it is not the act. It always turns up when a new decision has to be made. It grows in strength due to one's level of experience in the matter at hand. So I have a timing system where I wont critisize myself for mistakes until i'm already experienced - Up until that point - I consider myself as 'in the learning state' and so 'mistakes will happen' to put this another way "Allow yourself some grace". Hope this helps!
