The Seed Carousel
A few weeks ago I started and sent out the first annual Steemit Seed Carousel Package.
What is The Seed Carousel?
The Seed Carousal is a package I loaded up with several different kinds of seeds then I shipped it off to @shalomacres. He will take 2 or 3 seeds out and keep them for his garden, while adding 1 or 2 more seed packets to the package for the next person to chose from, and they will do the same. Each steemian will make a post under the Tag #SEEDBOX so we can all follow and keep up with the Seed Carousel package. Whoever has the Seed Carousel in December 2018 will send it back to @beatitudes.

Before shipping I added all kinds of seeds for steemians to chose from.
Mary Washington asparagus seeds.
Black Vernissage and Green Vernissage tomato seeds
Cosmic Purple carrot
Craigs Grande Jalapeno pepper seeds.
Straight neck squash.
Crimson Sweet Watermelons
Brown Bush Beans
Luffa Gourds
Boston Pickling Cucumber.
@sholamacres took out the Jalapeno pepper seeds, and the Cosmic Purple carrots. He added Tobacco seed pods, and Green and Red Okra seeds.
If you are the next recipient of the Seed Carousel Package try not to keep it to long before sending it out to the next Steemian and don't forget to post with the #SEEDBOX tag.

I will be trying to keep up and posting what comes out and what goes back in for all of you to see. Just follow me and I'll post about it.
My wife is elbowing me asking how we get in on this. She has lots of seeds to share.
keep up with the #seedbox tag and comment on all of the seed carousel post and ask for it. Where it goes is no longer in my control. whoever has it decides where to mail it next. I hope you receive it!

So, I've just found out that there is no way to follow tags on Steemit. That just seems insane to me. I hope it's a feature that gets added soon.
Get the @ginabot then you can get notification on just about anything you want. Its a great tool.
Thanks for that. I use Gina but never thought of it for this purpose. I still think it should be a feature 🙂
I agree they still have a lot of work to do on steemit. I think its technically still in Beta.
to pull your @ginabot settings up just type ( ..set qberry)
I pull up the post page, write the hash tag and click on it in the preview. lol I also do that to find users. lol It works!
I require automation. Remembering to check manually as a strategy is probably not going to be successful for me. Just being real here.
What a great idea! I bet by the time it goes all the way around, there's a pretty spectacular collection of seeds. @ironshield
I'm going to try my best at keeping up with the different kinds of seeds that go into the box and comes out. It'll be interesting for sure!

Wow, what an amazing initiative. And, what a brilliant idea to set it all up like you did. I am sure my mom would appreciate this, but she lives in Croatia. As she her own veggies and fruits garden.

Well I’m not sure about the genius part but I hope it helps the community grow closer and gets more people growing. Not to mention get a more active community!
I saw his post. And I love the idea! I'm thinking of maybe starting one in the fall. I received some seeds from the Cherokee Nation seed bank, and I'm hoping to harvest Harvest enough seeds from my plants this fall to start passing those around. What an excellent idea!
Why not we can have several going around at a time!
