api.hive is permananty connected to, and "keychain for hive" is now asking for a new password for my account not letting me use it to login here, I used my posting key this time. I did a hive "power down" to test things. getting very concerned regarding how this system works. I'm not adding a new password to keychain for hive, it seem compromised, it is unstable for me, insecure as I can't use it and a really serious privacy concern for me unless I do some weird shit to my connections. how to run a hive wallet/blockchain locally without a dedicated 16G Ram server? I don't believe this network is decentralized at all, it currently seems like a glorified SSO system maintained by enthusiasts who are not cryptographers, I don't think any one realizes SSL/TLS is not security, Srinivasa Ramanujan told me this in a dream many years ago. wallet seems fine and the balance is the same. wtf? do these things just break, or is the whole thing dependent on DNS? not even gonna ask about BGP... any actual engineers here who could comment?
