I agree when you say we have to de-program our minds, it is a very long process, often a continuing effort throughout our entire life. Just to clarify how I personally feel, karma isn't something that is strived for.. it happens naturally. If your goal for helping people is to gain karma, you've already failed. If your goal is to geniunely help people, because that's really the right thing to do.. the byproduct is good karma. :)
