Late Night Arrival At Gedser

After eleven hours of good sailing we arrived at 9 PM in Gedser (Denmark). This marina was almost empty and so we docked Maranea at the head of the landing stage. The picture was taken at 10 PM, half an hour after sunset.

The next morning we left at 7 AM already - sailing requires the crew to align with the winds rather than with the sleep pattern.

I found that I can quite easily use this bit of learning for other aspects of my life. The more I am willing to change my plans and priorities and adapt to the forces around me (winds, current, tide, crew preferences) the less energy I need and the more I can go with the flow.

Great view. For how long are you sailing?

Re: syncing sleep with the wind - thats interesting. It makes sense but I didnt know that. In a way its kind of like a zen philosophy or mindset, sort of.
Great photo as well. I like the symmetry of it.

Sunset at 10PM? I thought I misread until I googled and learn that on this month Denmark is having longer hours in a day. About 15 hours.

Very nice photo by the way :)
