Scuba Diving Saint Croix : Mating Sea Turtles 🐢🧜‍♀️

Hi Steemit friends! It’s been awhile since my last post, but I’m excited to get back to my blogging community. Today my post is going to cover photos from my latest diving experience over the weekend. It was nothing short of magical, the entire reason I live on this beautiful island in the middle of the Caribbean.

As well all know ocean and reef conservation is a huge topic of concern for our day and age. Over fishing, pollution, dumping, oil spills... amongst many other things are diminishing the nurseries in which so much of our marine life depend on in order to make it to maturity at an alarmingly rapid rate. It’s something I hold close to my heart, through my photography I hope to show those who many not know what it is like to be under the sea, to see the magic, how truly beautiful and special a place it is. I hope to send the same message to those who do know, those who share my passion, to reach out to anyone to become aware and proactive in changing our ways. To do anything we can to save these special creatures and the ecosystems in which their survival depend on.

Over the weekend I went diving with a company called Scuba, whose staff and owners are some of the most down to earth wonderful people you could hope to dive with. Every time I go is such a magical experience, between their knowledge, the beauty we find under the sea and altogether the sense of peace found from the moment I hit the boat til I make it back to shore. A special thanks always to these people. If you ever visit I recommend them all day long!

I still have a lot to learn as far as the photography goes but I am having the time of my life teaching myself! Hope you enjoy some of these photos as much as I do. Such a beautiful surreal world under the sea. It’s what keeps me going. 🧜‍♀️
