The Lush Green Coorg Trip

It was an unplanned trip with my friends on a weekend! I wasn't excited though but due to peer pressure I had to go.

With a mildly excited mood I set out with pa and ma to Coorg aka Madikeri from Bangalore. We guessed it would take us 5 to 6 hours, after all that research I tried to do. Google Maps helped with the route.

Day 1- Namdroling monastery, Nisargadham and Madikeri check-in at hotel Green Haven. Had a pretty great experience in the Hotel by Club Mahindra. Thanks to MMT.

Day 2 - Check in at Fort Markera, was lucky enough to get an executive room on a weekend. Amazing place, yummy food peaceful stay. Also we covered Abbey falls, Talacauvery and Omkarweshwar temple.

Day 3 - Left to Nagarhole Sanctuary to find their timings were 6-8 am and 3-5 pm. Took the route forward to Mysore, was convinced by mom and dad that we can see some wildlife at the Mysore zoo. Saw a few deer chilling and some red foxes in the sanctuary area, in the wild. We then lunched at the Mall of Mysore and arrived at the zoo at 3pm.

There are quite a few spots, like the Raja's seat, and activities, like star-gazing, that we had missed. But we had a good trip !!
